JL Audio is shipping new Stealthbox subwoofer systems for hard-to-fit Toyota and Ford Trucks including one model that doubles as an armrest.
The new Stealthboxes fit the Toyota Tacoma Double Cab, Tacoma Access Cab, and the Ford F150 SuperCab.
The Access Cab version of Toyota’s midsize truck has almost no room for a subwoofer, said JL Audio. So it designed a model that mounts between the jump seats, creating an arm rest with dual storage trays for rear passengers. The Stealthbox includes a 10-inch TW3 thin-line subwoofer. It is a down-firing, all-fiberglass, sealed enclosure model. It allows folding down of the rear seat to be unimpeded.
The new Stealthbox for F-150 SuperCab and SuperDuty SuperCab trucks installs under the rear seat without jutting into the cab space or impeding the ability to fold and recline the seat. It includes a 10-inch TW3 thin-line subwoofer housed in an all-fiberglass, sealed enclosure. The enclosure has a recess on top for mounting an optional amplifier.
For the Toyota Tacoma Double Cab is a shallow mount Stealthbox with a 10-inch TW3 thin-line subwoofer that’s sculpted to fit behind the passenger side rear seat in the storage pocket.
As with all Stealthboxes, the new models use laser-scanning to precisely measures the nooks and tight spaces of a vehicle. Then modeling software is used to design precise-fit subwoofers.
