Alpine Electronics announced at CES a new digital signal processor with advanced wireless smartphone control.
The PXE-0850S is Alpine’s first new processor in six or seven years. Via Bluetooth, it can be used without a head unit for audio streaming in UTVs or other vehicles.
Users can level match and tune their car audio system via Bluetooth or a PC. On a smartphone, they get a detailed views of all inputs and outputs and a 31 band equalizer.
Users can set time correction and crossovers via smartphone over Bluetooth. They can also boost OEM audio with the DSP’s built in 25 watt 8 amplifier.
The PXE-O850S is a 6 channel processor due in March at $699.
