PAC’s AmpPRO Now Supports More Vehicles

AmpPRO

By the end of this month, PAC will add Toyota to the list of vehicles that work with its new AmpPRO before-the-amp interface. It will also support General Motors vehicles with Bose systems in 2018.

The new AP4-TY12 works with all Toyota vehicles with a JBL Sound System option, which is offered across most of the Toyota line with the exception of the Corolla, said AAMP.

The PAC AP4-TY12 also has the benefit of retaining Toyota Bluetooth audio, navigation audio and Toyota’s safety cues (SOS system).  And it also works in many Lexus vehicles.

Similar to other AmpPRO devices, the AP4-TY12 lets users keep their factory radio, but add an aftermarket amplifier.  It installs with a wiring harness between the car’s head unit and amplifier.   This eliminates the need for a separate summing device and an auto-correcting device for a cleaner, simpler and less costly installation.

The AP4-TY12 is shipping at the end of the month at $299.95.

A second Toyota solution will also be shown at CES  as will the AmpPRO GM MOST solution due in 2018.

Metra also recently announced its AX-DSP interface will now support Toyota/Scion vehicles with non-amplified systems.

Some other PAC solutions to be seen at CES 2018 include:

  • Safety integration solutions, which enable an installer to add safety cameras for collision avoidance
  • RadioPRO Advance – PAC’s next generation of radio replacement solutions that saves even more time with more features
  • New high-quality dash kit solutions

“We will be introducing 5 new dash panels at CES. A large double DIN panel for 1999-2002 GM trucks and SUV’s that has a factory like texture. Also 4 double DIN panels for the 2005-2007 Chrysler 300 and Dodge 2006-07 Charger/2005-07 Magnum available in Black and Silver, they are the only panels available on the market that trim out the radio and do not use a dash kit,” said Sam Hunt, the Product Manager of Integration Products.
