Alpine Electronics is shipping its lowest cost Restyle radio to date and its first 7-inch Restyle radio.

Until now, Alpine’s Restyle radios designed for trucks and SUVs have come in 9- and 10-inch sizes.  The new i207-WRA, with the smaller screen and mechless (CD/DVD-less) radio plus CarPlay and Android Auto carries a price of $1,200.

The i207-WRA works specifically in 2007-2017 Jeep Wranglers, with a special bezel to fit the dash opening. It comes with all parts needed for installation including a wiring harness and an iDatalink Maestro module to retain Wrangler factory features like a voice activated media player, voice activated Bluetooth, factory steering wheel controls and integration with the factory amplifier.

There’s no navigation but users can get navigation directions from CarPlay or Android Auto when used with a smartphone. The i207-WRA has hard keys for direct access to smartphone functions like navigation, “Now Playing,” and voice control. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also provide access to popular apps such as Spotify, Waze (via Android Auto only), Amazon Music, and more.

The i207-WRA includes Bluetooth audio streaming, AM/FM and HD radio, Pandora, and FLAC file playback via USB. It is SiriusXM ready and it has an HDMI input.  Users can add an optional DVD/CD player, model DVE-5300.  The optional KAC-001 can control Wrangler accessories such as a motorized tonneau cover and winch from the radio.
