Race Sport has entered the marine lighting market to cater to an increasing enthusiast market among young boat owners.
“Market studies show that the 35-50 age bracket is more likely to spend large dollar amounts on their boat than on their vehicles,” said the company.
The lineup is shipping now and includes a 9 watt Cree (top of the line) LED drain plug, waterproof interior and exterior accent lighting, impermeable pier lighting, and 5000 lumen marine spotlights.
Many of the lights in the new “Marine Sport,” line are fully submersible in water.
The drain plug lights ($149.99) literally light up the boat’s drain plug doubling as accent lighting and a marker light for the plug. The spot light for night time navigating is available at $155.99. The accent lighting includes interior light bars ($74.99) about 13 inches long in colors including blue, red, green and purple. Exterior light bars that are waterproof. They are constructed of a channel forged from a single piece of aluminum. These exterior white lights come in 9.5 inch to 48 inch sizes.
The pier light also doubles as accent lighting and a marker light to find the pier or dock at night. It consists of a flexible 110 volt light strip that is waterproof and weatherproof in solid or multi-colors.
