Wet Sounds ZERO powersports speakers

Wet Sounds announced the ZERO speaker line, which includes its first shallow mount speakers and its first purpose-built speakers specifically designed for powersports.

This is the also the first line for Wet Sounds with horn tweeters and neodymium magnets.  The speakers are made of nylon and fiberglass and they have inverted surrounds to drop into slim door panels or motorcycle openings.

The mounting depth for ZERO speakers ranges from 2.72- up to 4-inches.  The line includes two coaxial speakers –6.5- and 8-inches, and two subwoofers–10- and 12-inches.  They offer twist off grilles.

The ZERO 6, 6.5-inch coaxial is a Harley-Davidson motorcycle drop-in replacement speaker.  It will fit into the front fairings on models 2014 and up.

The ZERO 10 and 12 are designed to perform well in a compact sealed enclosure. The 10-inch works well in a .5 cubic foot box and the 12-inch works in as little as .9 cubic feet, Wet Sounds said.

The line ships to dealers September 26, with a public release on October 1.

Suggested retail pricing is $649.99 and $749.99 for the ZERO 6 and 8, respectively and $449.99 and $549.99 for the ZERO 10 and 12.

Wet Sounds also recently introduced a drop-in Polaris Ranger Audio Roof for model years 2014 to 2023. Shipping now, the roof comes with a media center, 600 watt amplifier and four 8-inch drivers plus a 12-inch subwoofer. It is pre-wired so customers may add additional amplifiers and speakers. The roof is designed for sound quality and comes with front and rear light bars, and a built in dome light.

The roof may be installed in 20 minutes, said Wet Sounds.  It weighs 170 pounds so two people can lift and install it.  Retail price is $5,499.
