SiriusXM Demos 360L on Alpine

SiriusXM demonstrated at the SEMA Show this week the features of its new 360L service, expected to be adopted by Alpine this winter.

360L merges SiriusXM with Pandora streaming, so if you ask the Alpine unit to play Dave Matthews, then it will show you the channels that typically play the band and then you can launch a Dave Matthews station on Pandora (you’ll need a WiFi connection from a phone or other hotspot).

It also shows extra streaming channels that typically play Dave Matthews and any related live concerts recorded on SiriusXM or podcast interviews on Stitcher.

Alpine, the first aftermarket company to include 360L in a head unit, will offer it this winter via a USB update for the models ilX-F509, iLX-F511, iLX-F507 and the Jeep Wrangler-specific i509-WRA-JK and i509-WRA-JL. The demo was on an Alpine iLX-F511 with an 11-inch screen.
