CRUX adds Android Auto and CarPlay to GM vehicles

CRUX Interfacing Solutions will release its latest Smart-Play Integration Interface that adds Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to General Motors vehicles.

Shipping now and on display at CES 2020, the unit works with GM factory Cue and MyLink infotainment systems with 8-inch screens. The CRUX  interface, model ACPGM-80N, allows users to control Android Auto and CarPlay functions via touchscreen or voice or hard buttons.

It also adds front and rear camera inputs to the factory radio (cameras are optional).

And it retains functionality of the OEM backup camera if one is present.

Other ACPGM-80N functions:

– Front camera automatically shows on the screen after changing the gear from reverse to drive.

– Forced view function for front and aftermarket rear camera.

CRUX will exhibit at CES, January 7 – 10 at Booth # 6438 in North Hall.
