Race Sport Lighting has named as Vice President JR Stocks.
He will oversee growth with industry buying groups and oversee expansion to territories outside of North America.
Prior to his appointment he served as CEO at Wet Sounds, Inc. for 5 years. Prior to that he was President of Custom Sounds, TX and before that he was CEO at Freeman’s Car Stereo, NC. Stocks was also one of the founders of the Mobile Electronics Specialists of America (MESA) buying group and served on its Board of Directors.
President of Race Sport Steve Jergensen said the company will benefit from Stocks’ strong industry relationships across the globe. “JR’s expertise is the missing link to help our growing company exponentially grow in the next 5 to 10 years.”
Stocks said he worked with Jergensen when he helped run the MESA buying group, as Race Sport is a MESA vendor. “I couldn’t think of a better person to work with and work for and to see what we can make happen.”
Stocks believes the automotive lighting business is a growing market and presents opportunities in OEM supply for the marine and RV markets.
Stocks will be based out of North Carolina.
