Alpine (Alps Alpine North America) will unveil its recently announced Status system at KnowledgeFest in Orlando, FL, June 10-12. The system uses trickle down technology from the ultra high end $35,000 F#1Status that shipped in December.
Like the F#1Status, the Alpine Status centers on Hi-Res Audio. But where the F#1Status offered 384kHz/32 bit resolution, the highest in the industry, the new Status delivers 192kHz/24Bit playback (6.5 times the amount of data in a CD or digital streaming service). This is also higher than the 96kHz/24Bit resolution of most aftermarket solutions, said Alpine.
Status components may be sold separately, although they are designed to work together for optimal performance.
In March, Alpine said the Status would include 8 components starting with a two-part head unit. The HDS-990 has a controller/screen and a black box. It’s designed for 192kHz playback either by wired USB DAC or a wireless Bluetooth connection. MAP pricing is $1,399.95. (You can view more details here).
Shipping is expected this fall.
The Status head unit, DSP Amplifier ($2,399.95), 3-Way Speaker System ($999.95), and 2-Way Speaker System ($749.95) will be shown at KnowledgeFest in a Toyota Tundra. The vehicle will also show the new Alpine Halo11 floating screen radio.
More information about Alpine Status will be revealed during the show.
Alpine will also demo the ultra high end F#1Status system in Orlando in a Tesla Model 5.
