HARMAN announced a new Harman Kardon Marine Group to focus on bringing its Infinity and JBL marine products into the marine OEM market and to launch the new Harman Kardon Marine brand.
The brands will be marketed to boat builders as high performance audio lines.
As of now, there are no plans to bring the new Harman Kardon Marine brand into the aftermarket, said a HARMAN spokesman.
“We are proud to take what we’ve learned in our award-winning automotive, home and consumer electronics audio products and offer that same incredible level of quality and technology to the marine market,” said Kent Jopling, Global Senior Manager Special Markets Marine and Powersports at HARMAN International.
