We are very sorry to report that long time ESCORT National Sales Manager and executive at Waylens, Everett Morss passed away due to COVID at the age of 64.

He played a key role in the radar detector industry for both Beltronics and ESCORT, and was instrumental in achieving placement of products at Best Buy.

Long time ESCORT and Waylens executive Tim Coomer said, “He was an all around great guy and very professional. I just never heard anybody say anything bad about him. He was funny, smart and cared about his family. It’s just a huge loss.”

He is survived by his wife, Ann Morss; and three sons, Everett Morss of Lakeville, NY  and Patrick and James Morss of Geneseo, NY.

Morss was born July 20, 1957, in Cambridge, MA. He had recently retired as Vice President of Sales from Waylens.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, Feb. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Livingston Lanes & Pub, 4260 Lakeville Rd., in Geneseo, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Livingston Country Club, P.O. Box 266, Geneseo, NY 14454.

  1. So sad to hear this. Over the years, Everett helped our shop out on more than one occasion with Escort and Waylens products. He will be missed. So very sorry for the loss to his family and to our industry.

  2. Everett was a straight up Gentleman ,who you only needed a handshake to make a deal with.Very sad news ….rest in peace my friend

  3. This is very sad news. Everett was an asset to our industry. I did business with him all the way back to the BEL Pro Series days. He was the consummate professional and was always cared about us. He will be missed.
