mObridge Ships Ford A2B Preamps

mObridge announced a new Ford A2B preamp series for easy integration of aftermarket audio amplifiers into Ford 2018 and up vehicles.

The A2B network is currently being adopted by automakers and is typically used in Ford cars with Bang and Olufsen (B&O), or Revel audio systems.

mObridge’s new DA-G2 A2B preamps integrate with the factory A2B input for audio and the CAN inputs so that all factory controls are maintained, including fade, balance, telephone and navigation.  This allows the stock feel of the car to be preserved.

All models come with a plug and play harness and automatic software updates through the mObridge DSP with Windows and macOS options.

The DA-G2 A2B series comes in three models: Entry, Standard and Pro starting at $399. mObridge says the top of the line Pro model is the most advanced and customizable DSP on the market.

The Entry model provides stereo TOSLINK out and input gain adjustment through mObridge.  The Standard model adds 10 analog output channels and a TOSLINK connection for improved surround sound capabilities along with basic channel mapping and summing.  The DA-G2.Pro adds a full 1024 point DSP on all 12 channels (10 analog and 2 digital). This advanced DSP allows the user to configure time alignment, cross over link emulation, phase inversion, advanced filtering algorithms such as Butterworth, Bessel, Chebyshev and Linkwitz-Riley, and centre channel upmixing.

mObridge is the aftermarket brand of Fiberdyne Systems based in Melbourne, Australia. Fiberdyne specializes in advanced audio Digital Signal Processing and supplies OEM auto makers worldwide.
