VOXX Electronics announced it has partnered with online price protection and tracking company TrackStreet.

Through TrackStreet, VOXX will scrub all online marketplaces as well as VOXX dealer websites to ensure that it Minimum Advertised Prices (MAP) are being upheld for VOXX and DEI (Directed remote start) products. It will also ensure that unauthorized dealers are not selling VOXX/DEI products.

The partnership with TrackStreet is designed to help keep VOXX/DEI product profitable, said the company.

The new price protection program is expected to take effect April 1 with a ‘three strikes and you’re out’ enforcement policy.  Dealers are also being required to sign new agreements.

VOXX said it will enforce its MAP policy as follows:

  • For a first offense, dealers will have two days to remedy the issue. If it is not addressed, the account goes on hold for 30 days.
  • If the offense is not corrected, a second notice will be sent to with an additional two days to remedy the issue and the account will go on hold for a total of sixty days (and all backorders will be voided).
  • If the offense is still not corrected and a third notice is sent, the account will be terminated immediately.

TrackStreet’s software is able to track not only visible online pricing but “in-cart pricing.”

VOXX said, “Not only will we be enforcing this policy with our direct dealers but through our distributor’s customers as well.”

Aron Demers, Senior VP VOXX Electronics said in a letter to dealers, “I am sure you feel the same as we do, that all VOXX/DEI products require professional installation, and the sales and installations should flow through our dealers accordingly. We want to ensure the profitability of our products, professional installation, and customer experience is through our dealer network both direct and indirect.”
