Press Release: DS18 announced its first high excursion subwoofer–the ZXi12.4D. It has a 3-inch coil and a wide frequency range but a mounting depth of only 7.5 inches.
The ZXI12.4D is designed to handle high power with high efficiency. It is conservatively rated at 1000w RMS and 2000w peak power.
The frequency range of the ZXi12.4D is 15hz-1500hz.
This sub has a low FS so it can be used in large boxes with lower than normal tuning.
“Most subs that produce this much bass have very deep mounting depths which limit the applications in which they can be used. The ZXI12.4D has a mounting depth of only 7.5 inches so It can be used in most instances where you need a lot of bass but not you don’t have to worry about the setup taking up all the real estate..” said DS18.
