The Mobile Electronics Association (MEA) announced that the in-person Dallas KnowledgeFest tradeshow has been canceled, and will be held as a virtual-only event, following similar decisions by trade shows including SEMA and CES.
KnowledgeFest was forced to cancel the event due to Dallas County orders regarding COVID-19 health guidance, as Dallas recently moved to a “Red” level of safety, which means “Stay at home, stay safe”.
Chris Cook, MEA President said, “We had strong support from exhibitors and retailers wanting to attend in-person. We will now target all of our efforts towards delivering a valuable virtual KnowledgeFest LIVE event.”
MEA expects to conduct webinars over the next few weeks to demonstrate the virtual event for attendees and exhibitors. KnowledgeFest LIVE was always going to include a virtual experience to accommodate both retailers and manufacturers not able to attend due to company travel restrictions.
The event will be presented through a new digital platform allowing attendees to participate in educational workshops, manufacturer training sessions, and take a virtual tour of exhibitor booths.
KnowledgeFest LIVE will also announce and celebrate the winners of the Mobile Electronics Industry Awards during a special live evening event.
