The Mobile Electronics Association (MEA) announced today that its annual Dallas KnowledgeFest industry tradeshow will proceed as planned on Friday, December 4 at the Dallas Convention Center and Omni Dallas Hotel.

The show will be held as a live event and virtual event simultaneously.

MEA will provide full sanitization services during the event, including a “dedicated cleaning taskforce” that will “implement and police sanitization.” COVID prevention measures for the event can be found here.

On the virtual side, dealers will be able to remotely attend education sessions and select vendor training sessions. There will also be an option for virtual attendees to view booths on the show floor.

Vendor training sessions will be held at the same time as vendor exhibitions.

About 30 percent of KnowledgeFest attendees (mostly exhibitors) fly to the event and 70 percent (mostly retailers) travel to the show by car.

The Dallas KnowledgeFest show was originally scheduled for August 14-16 and was postponed to September 25-27 and then again to December 4, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The show in December will mark the first time KnowledgeFest has been offered as a virtual show for those who can’t attend in person.
