VOXX Electronics announced a new disinfectant that is registered with the Environment Protection Agency as effective against SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19. It is now available to car audio dealers and new car dealers and will eventually be offered to many other industries and institutions.
Called Auto Oxide, it is a surface sanitizer that is safe to use on all surfaces, even food. It kills 99.999 percent of viruses such as Coronavirus, Influenza, Norovirus, H1N1, and more. Auto Oxide was specifically designed and tested for vehicle interiors and will not harm cloth, leather, suede, vinyl or other special materials.
The spray eliminates odors such as smoke, trash, and mold and it is odorless itself. Dealers can use an air gun to apply the spray. No PPE is required on the part of the technician.
The spray can be applied to car before a dealer works on it to protect employees and then before it is returned to the customer. VOXX offers wraps for steering wheels and mirror hangers stating that the car has been sanitized.
Auto Oxide requires no special mixing.
