Firstech, makers of Compustar and DroneMobile, quietly began offering full Alexa remote start capability in March and now adds full Siri capability as the first remote start company to work with all three voice command systems.

The company updated the app for its DroneMobile remote start from a phone system.  The new app unlocks full remote start capability via Siri through the iPhone’s Shortcuts App, where  users can program custom voice prompts to trigger DroneMobile commands like remote start, keyless entry, and GPS car finder.

Users can program any phrase to control their car (as long as its not a phrase that triggers other key iPhone functions). Users can also layer other commands to initiate a collection of actions such as “Siri, start morning routine.” That routine might include remote starting the engine, turning down the home’s smart thermostat and playing a favorite song in Apple Music.

A shortcut can be set up to automatically to arm your vehicle’s security system at 9 PM and disarm it in the morning. To ensure driver and vehicle safety, most commands do require user confirmation and verification via Face or Touch ID.

DroneMobile can also be launched by a voice command such as “Alexa, tell Drone Mobile to start my car.”
