KENWOOD USA announced at KnowlegeFest in Las Vegas it will ship three new CarPlay/Android Auto receivers in “the upcoming months” with short chassis for easy installation.

Two models, the DMX9708S and eXcelon DMX908S, offer wireless CarPlay/Android Auto as well as Advanced iDatalink Maestro RR support and Hi-Res Audio playback. They include 6.95 inch screens.  The eXcelon version steps up to 5 volt RCA pre-outs (compared to 4 volts on the DMX9708S).  It also uses tuned audiophile-grade components, and carries a 2-year warranty.

Next up is an eXcelon Reference DMX958XR deck with similar features, but it adds an HD screen in 6.8 inches (1280×720).  It also has wireless Hi-Res Audio support and a rear HD camera input.

Pricing will be announced, said KENWOOD.

All three models also include wireless Android screen mirroring, HD Radio, SiriusXM compatibility, and 4 camera inputs including the ability to connect KENWOOD’s DRV-N520 dashboard camera. Other features include a USB Type-C input for up to 3 amps of charging, and an HDMI Type-D (mini) input.

The decks work with a new KCA-HD200 HDMI Type-A to Type-D cable and KCA-RCDV340 wireless remote control.

They will be on display at KnowledgeFest February 18-20.
