Many Distributors Launch New Brand

Triton brand launched by car audio distributors

Approximately nine leading distributors have launched a single new brand of car audio speakers, amplifiers and we are told, enclosures under the name Triton.

All of the distributors offering Triton are members of the Elite Distributor Alliance, the first 12 Volt distributor buying group.

Triton amplifiers range in price from about $150 to $2,000.  Triton’s selling points are that it is kept off the Internet.  And since there’s no US supplier intermediary,  cost savings are put back into the product to produce better quality for the price, said the Triton website.

Triton offers some very compact, lightweight amplifiers suited for motorcycles including 800 and 400 watt, 4 channel models.

The line is engineered in the US.

Most of the amplifiers are in an SQ line but there’s also a high end SX line that features a “beast” delivering 10,000 watts at 1 ohm,  5,500 watts at 2 ohms and 3,025 at 4 ohms with a frequency response from 5Hz- 6kHz at 0.1 percent THD and a signal to noise ratio of 88dB (at $2,000 suggested retail price).

Subwoofers come in 8-, 10- and 12-inch sizes with both single and dual voice coils. Several are rated at 600 watt power handling. They have butyl rubber surrounds and flexible terminal connectors plus 2-inch voice coils.

Speakers include both components and coaxials.

DOW Electronics’ website shows the SQ component sets at about $150 to $170, speakers from about $79 to $119 and SQ 10-12 inch subwoofers from about $120 to $130.

Triton’s website says, “Unnecessary costs have been totally eliminated and the savings have been poured back into very elegant products that have the very best sound and durability when blind tested against competitors at similar prices.”

  1. You did not sell 7 figures of boss. You sold 7 figures of you. Customers are buying you. Its called great customer service.😁

  2. Just what the world needs… Another brand of no-name electronics manufactured in China I’m sure. Hey but look at the bright side you get free COVID-19 packaging with every purchase.

    1. You are wrong these products are not built in China! You shouldn’t be so quick to assume, this is a brand that is what many in the 12 volt industry are looking for. No online sales, great price point, state of the art technology, aesthetically desirable, and great performance. We finally have a product line that is A quality and isn’t for any online retailers or shoppers. Quality products that have to be bought at the retail store front (Crazy concept I know)….
