Tint World Longwood in FL is holding one of the first virtual car shows hosted on Zoom.
Owner Pete Muller will host about 300 car lovers this weekend through an online event created to keep the local car scene running during a period of social distancing and stay-at-home mandates.
“I believe I might be the first person to ever try hosting a car show on Zoom,” Muller said.
“Orlando has a huge car scene. You can typically find a car show every day of the week. For many people, it’s an important part of their social life. So while we’re all staying in place as much as possible, we’re hosting a virtual car show this weekend that anyone can join from their own driveway or garage,” Muller added.
The virtual car meet will be hosted on Zoom on Sunday, April 5, from 4-6 p.m.
Muller encourages participants to continue following best practices for preventing the spread of COVID-19 by staying in their own homes.
“The idea is to make sure nobody is getting together,” Muller said. “The whole plan is to connect through a virtual forum so we can maintain the social aspect that is so important to our community without putting anyone at unnecessary risk.”
