Accele Electronics is launching a separate division called “Accent Mobile,” which features driver safety and entertainment products specifically for expeditors, upfitters and fleets.
All products that can be sold through these channels are included in the new Accent Mobile division. These include automotive cameras, mirrors, monitors, blind spot and park assist systems, DVRs, security systems and more. The products are covered by a 3-year warranty versus the usual 1 year Accele warranty.
Through the new division, Accele is making a concerted effort to go after the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) market and to win over expeditors who rely on quality products.
Accent Mobile will be a direct line, without distributors and withouth manufacturer representatives, said Bob Goodman, Director of Channel Sales.
“We want to become another resource for these channels. We have an expanded portfolio and we don’t end at ADAS. We want to be a one-stop shop,” Goodman said.
One of Accent Mobile’s first new products is a solution for heated seats that includes a trigger input for remote start systems. The new JW-C400 allows a remote start system to remotely active seat heaters, even if they weren’t left on when the car was last turned off.
The system also includes a timer that shuts the heater off in 15 minutes. “Our JW-C400 incorporates our latest design of a thicker material barrier and continuity stitching that insures grid stability for unsurpassed durability and performance. Also, a new thicker gauge wire has been incorporated for additional user safety,” said Goodman.
