AAMP Global is announcing at the SEMA Show this week, a 10-inch radio under its Stinger brand, as a follow up to is ELEV8, 8-inch radio line.
The new radio, called HEIGH10, includes a 10-inch capacitive touchscreen that mounts on the dash and a tuner box.
HEIGH10 offers Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Sirius XM capability, AM/FM radio, two USB rear inputs, 1.5-amp output, Bluetooth 4.2, A2DP with aptX (for hands-free calling and music streaming), and optional iGO navigation.
Audio features of the HEIGH10 include a variable digital fiber-optic (Toslink) output for audiophile quality sound.
The unit also has four camera inputs. Drivers can select up to four separate cameras to monitor their blind spots. The cameras can be set to activate by turn signal or reverse gear and they may also be manually operated. Adding a rocker switch allows for a camera view of a trailer or towed vehicle. In addition, the sound from the optional RV camera microphone can be fed into the system, allowing the driver to hear what’s going on behind the RV.
The unit has a 15-band graphic equalizer, crossover, and time correction and 4-volt, six-channel RCA audio outputs with subwoofer control, and three user EQ presets for each audio source.
For single DIN solutions, an SE-SDIN iso-mount is sold separately.
The HEIGH10 will be on view at Stinger’s booth (No. 11616) at the Las Vegas Convention Center’s North Hall during the SEMA Show, Nov. 5-8.
