VAIS will ship next week one of the first satellite radio add-on kits for motorcycles.

The kit adds SiriusXM to 2018-2019 Harley-Davidson bikes featuring the Harley Boom! Box standard 4.3-inch radio (the Glide series bikes).  VAIS plans to add kits for 2017 and older models as well.

The kit plus a SiriusXM SXV300 tuner lets you control satellite radio through the radio touchscreen and steering wheel controls.  Users can browse preset stations, categories and channels.

Currently, if riders want to add SiriusXM to a Glide series motorcycle they must first purchase a $2,000 7-inch Harley radio and then a $400 SiriusXM tuner, said VAIS Executive VP Dennis Hopper.  Instead of $2,400, they can now buy a VAIS kit for $339.

Called the GSR-HM01, the kit links to the factory radio with a plug and play USB connection.  It will carry a price of $339.
