Press Release (edited): Alpine Electronics of America said that instead of using an independent manufacturer’s rep firm, it has hired three Alpine-direct sales reps for the territory including Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

The new sales reps are Andy Allen, Jimmy Chauffe, and Mark Sartain will represent the Alpine lineup in these states. They join a fourth Alpine Brand Specialist, Dan Greenwood, who will cover the area.

“Texas and the surrounding states are very important for Alpine, and this move allows us to dedicate four full-time Alpine staff to the territory,” said Mike Anderson, Vice President and General Manager, Alpine Brand Business Unit.

Allen grew up in Louisiana and began his 12-volt career working at a retailer in Waco, TX. He has worked for various 12-volt companies over the years, having held positions in sales, marketing, and product development. Allen lives in the Houston area and will cover the Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and South Texas markets for Alpine. He can be reached at [email protected].

Chauffe is a life-long resident of Louisiana and has been in the 12-volt industry for over 20 years. He has worked for manufacturers and independent rep firms, and has experience representing the Alpine brand. Chauffe lives in the New Orleans area and will be responsible for the Louisiana and East Texas markets (including some Houston dealers). Chauffe can be reached at [email protected].

Sartain has dedicated his entire career to the 12-volt industry. After 17 years of experience at various retailers, Sartain moved to the sales side and continued his work in the industry as an independent sales rep. While in sales, Sartain represented several brands over the years, including Alpine. Sartain resides in the Dallas area and will cover Dallas-Fort Worth, North and West Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Sartain can be reached at [email protected].

Alpine Brand Specialist Dan Greenwood continues to offer sales support in the territory as well, and he can be reached at [email protected]. The new sales representatives will be contacting Alpine dealers shortly to set-up appointments at CES.

  1. Most Rep Firms have the same products for many years. I know that we have had lines for as many as 30 plus years. So us REPS are loyal to those lines by helping dealers develop their markets and relationships.

  2. This move totally makes sense and I’m surprised more companies don’t do this. Employ your representatives – independent rep firms are only loyal to whatever brand they can get their hands on. One quarter it may be Alpine, but the next it could be Kenwood.
