VOXX Attends Connected Car Conference at CE Week

 HAUPPAUGE, NY –VOXX Electronics Corporation (VEC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of VOXX International Corporation (NASDAQ: VOXX), announced today the Company will be attending the 2018 Connected Car Conference at CE Week in New York City on June 20 – 21 to showcase their lines of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Mobile Video and Telematics product lines.  The Company will also be participating in one of the panels, ‘Personalization: Upgrading the Connected Car.’

 

The Connected Car Conference brings together the top thought leaders from automotive, technology, policy, research and media with the focus on the Connected Car.  The conference will be to bring attention and awareness to changing vehicle technology trends on both the OEM and aftermarket sides of the vehicle, and showcase new technologies that can enhance the drive, whether they are factory- or aftermarket-installed.

On display at the conference, the Company will be showcasing the latest product offerings in the ADAS, Mobile Video and Telematics product categories.

 

Advent “Unlimited” Seatback System is designed to be the ultimate in-vehicle entertainment solution, offering limitless content options to users.  Loaded with an Android operating system with lighting fast processing power and Google Play Store access to deliver “unlimited” content; movie, video, game and music apps.  Both screens are controllable through a touch screen interface, but more importantly, the system can also be fully controlled through an iOS or Android app where the users in the front of the seat can access and control the content being selected for rear seat passengers.

 

CarLinkBT Long Range adds another VOXX first to the market.  This entirely new product allows long range smartphone control without any monthly or annual fees.  CarLinkBT Long Range offers today’s most advanced convenience and security solution when combined with a Prestige, Code Alarm or Pursuit remote start, security or keyless entry system.  The system communicates from a smartphone to a small one-button transmitter on your keychain via Bluetooth, and then to the vehicle using long range LoRa RF technology, extending its operating range to over one mile without any additional fees.   

 

LOOK-IT powered by Lightwave Technology is a revolutionary wireless back-up camera system that takes the backup camera technology to the next level by combining wireless smartphone technology with high-tech built-in license frame camera.  This all-in-one back-up camera and monitor solution, connects wirelessly to a smartphone and turns any iPhone or Android device into the display, allowing drivers to view the footage directly on their smartphone.  With safety and convenience in mind, the system will help improve back-up safety, reduce blind sports and assist in changing the way drivers park their vehicles.

 

VOXX Electronics Mobile Entertainment Director of Business Development, Joe Caltabiano will be participating in a panel ‘Personalization: Upgrading the Connected Car,’ taking place on Wednesday, June 20 at 10:15am in room C2C001, which will explore the challenges to keeping technology up-to-date for the lifespan of the vehicle.
