A  DSP/amplifier designed specifically for BMW  by Match is now available through new Audiotec-Fischer distributor MSC America.

The factory replacement amplifier comes with an OEM harness and mounting plate and swaps with the factory amp for a plug and play installation.  Users then download the audio profile for the specific car to set the DSP.

It works with 2006 to 2018 BMWs with the option code 676 Hi Fi System, which represents about 60 percent of the BMWs sold in North America, said Jason Digos, MSC America VP Sales & Marketing.

Swapping the amplifier delivers a dramatic audio improvement, Digos said.

The Match UP7 BMW is  one of Audiotec Fischer’s first new vehicle specific products since MSC became its North American distributor for brands Brax, Helix and Match, assuming the distributorship from Hybrid Audio (and Rockford before that).

The Match UP7 BMW is a 64 Bit DSP with  130 watt power output at 4 ohms (5 x 65  watts for Front / Rear / Center channels) and subwoofer output at two ohms of 2 x 160 watts. It has 4 channels in and 7 amplified channels out + 1 processed RCA pre-out for an additional subwoofer amplifier.

The DSP includes a MATCH Extension Card slot (MEC slot) for additional input and output modules such as a Bluetooth Audio Streaming module or a High Resolution audio USB sound card.

Three key features of the DSP are  “Augmented Bass Processing” to optimize the BMW under-seat subwoofers, “StageXpander” to widen the stereo perspective, and “Real Center” to give the driver and passenger equally focused stage performance.

The unit has all-pass filters and channel mixing capability. It carries a price of $1000.

MSC America was recently founded by Larry Penn, a leading Canadian car audio specialty dealer and distributor.  In addition to Audiotec-Fischer products, MSC also distributes BLAM French speakers.

MSC is about to open a dealer training facility in Arizona, it said.
