CRUX Interfacing Solutions launched its new line of interfaces that can add both Android Auto and CarPlay to many vehicles that lack the popular features.

The new ACP line works with General Motors, Mazda and Mercedes Benz vehicles allowing full touchscreen and voice control of the phone under Android Auto or CarPlay.

The interfaces use factory controls and have a backup camera input with dynamic guidelines.  The ACP line includes two video inputs. It offers plug and play installation.

“The new ACP integration kits are a great solution for customers who inquire about smartphone integration or adding a backup camera. Where this type of smartphone control has not been available until now and with the interfaces working on vehicles dating back to 2012 there is a big opportunity for retailers to offer something new. These are two of the most requested features in the industry right now,” said CRUX’s Rich DeSclafani.

A video of the new line may be viewed here.

at CES, it will ship in February a video interface for General Motors vehicles that allows drivers to add both Android Auto and CarPlay to a vehicle that doesn’t come with the features.

It’s new $699-suggested video interface (ACPGM-80V) works with 2013 and up vehicles with the MyLink or Cue entertainment systems.

“It’s a way to keep the factory touch screen but add Android Auto and CarPlay,” said CRUX’s Rich DeSclafani.

Users can control Android Auto and CarPlay through the factory touch screen controls, he said.

To operate, users plug in their phones to the radio via a cable and the appropriate interface automatically displays on the radio screen.

. They are the only interfaces available that can retrofit Android Auto with control through the factory infotainment controls. Also they can be used fully hands free with voice activation.

RESEDA, Ca. (May 8, 2018) – Crux Interfacing Solutions has launched 4 new Interfaces for GM, Mazda and Mercedes Benz  from the new line of Smartphone Integration Interfaces. The new ACP line allows you to control your compatible smartphone directly through your vehicles OEM controls via the touchscreen or factory infotainment controls. The interfaces work with BOTH major smartphone operating systems.
