Fusion announced  a new marine radio, which it calls the first to offer a one-piece glass touchscreen display as well as WiFi streaming and digital signal processing (DSP) plus the ability to stream Hi-Res Audio.

The Fusion RA770  and a new step down SRX400 (pictured above, with the same features minus the glass touchscreen) use DSP to optimize audio performance.  They work with an app to set up the DSP.   The app includes preset boat settings users may choose from.

As the first marine radios with WiFi, according to Fusion, users can stream higher quality audio including Hi-Res Audio from a mobile device.

Both radios have a “PartyBus” audio distribution network. Users can add more stereos in different boat zones to the system.

The top-of-the-line Apollo series RA770 includes Bluetooth, SiriusXM, Optical Audio, DAB+ for Europe and Australia,

The RA770 and SRX400 include a 4.3 inch and 2.7-inch displays, respectively.  They are iPx7 rated for dust and water protection and include Class D amplifiers.

The RA770 has two RCA auxiliary inputs, one SPDIF port for TV audio output, one Ethernet port, one USB 2.0 port for phone charging and media playback, one SiriusXM port, one Motorola antenna connector port and it is DAB+ ready.

The SRX400 has one Ethernet port and one Motorola antenna connector port.

Fusion Panel StereoAlso new from Fusion is a “Panel Stereo” for boats and RVs.  It’s a Bluetooth amplified speaker with AM/FM radio and DSP that can be surface mounted or installed in shallow wall cavities.

It uses 3 inch speakers and a passive bass radiator in a tuned enclosure. It also offers USB and aux inputs and Bluetooth streaming options. And it can be controlled by a Fusion app or certain Garmin watches.

Fusion is owned by Garmin.
