Metra Ships Vehicle Specific Add-On Navi

Metra is shipping new Axxess vehicle specific add-on navigation modules that install behind the factory radio.

The new Adaptiv Add-On Navigation solutions let you keep a factory radio but add on new features including iGo Primo Navigation, backup camera capability and multimedia connections for devices via USB, AUX, SD and HDMI.   The line also allows video playback and it is  Micro “B” USB updatable.

Solutions are available for select Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen vehicle applications. A GM solution is coming soon.

Also new are two Adaptiv adapter accessories; the AX-AD-HDMI adds an HDMI input and the AX-AD-BTM adds Bluetooth.  Users get smartphone mirroring on the radio and radio control over smartphone function, will allow smart device mirroring capabilities. Drivers can choose to view apps like Waze, Google Maps, GasBuddy  and other apps on their radio.

ADV-MB4M: Mercedes Add-On NAV – E Class 2012-2016

ADV-MB5M: Mercedes Add-On NAV – GLE & ML 2011-Up*

ADV-VW1M: Volkswagen Add-On NAV – Golf & Passat 2014-2015*
