Elettromedia, announced at CES that its Uno line, the entry level series in its high end Hertz brand, is now available directly to retailers.
Uno launched last year but was only available through distributors at the time.
Hertz Uno brings the price point of a 6.5-inch coaxial speaker to under $100 a pair, compared to the previous entry price under the Hertz Dieci series at $120 or $130.
The Uno series includes two amplifiers, a subwoofer plus coaxial speakers.
Also at CES, Elettromedia announced its new Audison bit Nove digital signal processor (DSP) is now compatible with the Maestro AR for easy installation in various cars.
The bit Nove was introduced late last year offering an interface similar to those used on Audison Prima amplifiers, so it is familiar to Prima installers.
The new bit Nove can be used with any aftermarket or OEM radio or source. It has 6 high and low level inputs and 9 channel outputs as well as two TOS LINK built- in connections. It sums up the incoming audio channels and de-equalizes an OEM radio frequency response in a few simple steps. It supports up to 192kHa/24 bit Hi-Res Audio through a TOS LINK connection.
Audison includes a Universal Speaker Simulator (USS) so the bit Nove can be connected to radios that use a speaker load detection circuit that would otherwise mute the audio signal output.
For each of its channels, the bit Nove provides: a 10-pole parametric equalizer allowing for optimal adjustments, a 68 step frequency crossover, Butterworth or Linkwitz-Riley type filters with slopes from 6 to 24 dB/Oct and a time-delay line.
The bit Nove at approximately $850 is also optimized to work with a smartphone.
The Maestro AR is one of a new group of advanced amplifier interfaces that install before the factory amplifier in certain cars. These interfaces allow the aftermarket to avoid all the digital processing car makers cram into their factory amplifiers by tapping into the system before the audio signal is distorted.
The Maestro AR can be flashed via computer to work with select Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Ford and other vehicles.
