PRESS RELEASE:

LAS VEGAS–The Alpine X209-WRA-OR is a weather resistant 9-inch AVN system for the 2011-2017 Jeep Wrangler.  As Alpine continues to expand its Alpine Restyle vehicle-specific products for the Wrangler, the company has been able to offer product features that specifically meet the lifestyle uses of Wrangler owners.  The X209-WRA-OR has several features which address the needs of Wrangler owners.

Wrangler owners who enjoy taking their vehicle off-road will appreciate the new Off-Road Mode feature.  The heart of the new feature is a new tracking function that allows users to track and store trails they experience.  They can indicate the trail’s difficulty and share the trails with friends via USB thumb drive. While in Off-Road Mode, the navigation and camera screens are converted into an off-road centric UX. This display provides helpful data needed for tackling rough terrain like Tilt Angle, Tire Pressure, and GPS Coordinates. Driving data such as Distance Tracking, Time, and Compass readings are also viewable. The navigation system includes Points of Interest (POIs) for popular vehicular recreational areas, FunTreks trailheads, and various campsites around the US.  When the X209-WRA-OR is used with a front or rear camera (sold separately), three off-road viewing modes (Ground, Tire, Panorama) are available so the driver can easily view uneven terrain during rock crawls or water crossings.

The X209-WRA-OR is rated at IP53 for protection against dust with limited ingress and fresh water spray up to 60° vertically, so owners can enjoy driving or off-roading with the Wrangler’s top off even in inclement weather.

The X209-WRA-OR is loaded with technology features including a wired Apple CarPlay connection, wired Android Auto connection, AM/FM/CD/DVD receiver, navigation, Bluetooth wireless technology, and HD Radio.  It is SiriusXM Ready (tuner and subscription sold separately).  It’s compatible with the Alpine Connect app which provides content from select apps including MyQ by Chamberlain, for control and monitoring of the garage door, smart lighting and smart thermostats from the X209-WRA-OR’s touch screen.

Up to eight vehicle accessories (like a winch and light bar) can be controlled from the X209-WRA-OR’s touch screen using the KAC-001 External Accessory Controller (sold separately).  The optional KCX-C250MC Multi-Camera Switcher allows for up to three cameras to be added to the X209-WRA-OR, with quick switching between camera images through the touch screen (switcher and cameras sold separately). The included iDatalink Maestro module retains select factory features and displays vehicle information the 9-inch screen.
