Stinger launched at CES in Las Vegas a new “Stinger X” brand to be sold through car audio specialists that will include, for the first time from Stinger, audio components.
The Stinger X line will not be sold on the Internet, and it will follow a minimum advertised price (MAP) protection policy.
The line includes two IPX-rated micro amplifiers; two marine grade speakers and two subwoofers. Also new are marine grade batteries, amplifier installation kits, powersports batteries and amp kits and wiring kits and batteries for specific Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Stinger X is also offering 37 new car audio accessories including three Toslink connectors.
“We’ve seen the enthusiasm from our dealers on the Phoenix Gold side,” said Kevin Kuenzie, AAMP Senior Manager, Audio Products. “They are not having to price match online, with a product that’s robust with sell up features. And we can provide a great profit margin for our dealers on the accessories side. We feel Stinger is the leader in accessories and this is proof we’re continuing our development and expanding the line with better features and performance,” he added.
The new powersports speakers run from $89 to $129 and amplifiers are priced at $299 and $349. Shipping is expected in the first quarter 2018.
