About 5 years ago, Alpine brought a big marine audio display to CES. It literally put half a boat on the wall of the demo room and filled it with marine amplifiers and speakers. I was Alpine’s first press appointment for the show that year so it was still testing the equipment. There were lots of dealers and reps in the room too. Suddenly, the system in the boat was turned on. Everyone stopped because it sounded amazing. The room will filled with people ready to do business, but no one made a sound for minutes. No one was annoyed, they were transfixed. Everyone in the room loved good sound and would stop even at CES to hear it…something many of us share.
