Precision Power (PPI), an Epsilon brand, showed at KnowledgeFest in Orlando, its first motorcycle audio products including an OEM replacement radio for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The radio is one of the first dedicated Harley replacement radios to include CarPlay and Android Auto.
Sony offers a CarPlay car radio that can be used in Harley motorcycles with an install kit, while the PPI model is a dedicated replacement radio purpose built only for Harley touring motorcycles, years 2014 and up. It does not require a dash kit, but only a steering wheel control interface for use with handlebar controls.
The PPI radio, model HDHU.14, mounts in the factory radio location. It uses the stock USB input and the stock AM/FM antenna. The face plate and 7-inch display has a waterproof rating of IPx5.
The radio is among two dozen new motorcycle audio products to ship from PPI to be sold direct to retailers, rather than through distribution.
