A new brand of sound damping products called SoundShield has launched by John Schwartz of Perfectionist Auto Sound in Alaska and Bryan Schmitt of Mobile Solutions in Arizona.
SoundShield offers thicker damping sheets with a waterproof top layer. The flagship product is 4.5mm thick with a triple-layer damping sheet, It uses flexible butyl rubber, high-tac adhesive base, a heat-rejecting foil center and a waterproof closed-cell foam top layer.
The sheets easily install on vehicle sheet metal and panels prone to vibration and the transfer of road noise.
SoundShield is headquartered in Anchorage, AK and it will ship from its Dallas, TX warehouse which has its own dedicated staff. Shipping times are within 1-3 days anywhere in the continental US. The company is also seeking international distributors. Product will be in full stock by KnowledgeFest in Dallas, August 9, when the product will be officially unveiled.

Schwartz and Schmitt have been developing SoundShield since January. The product offers high quality and high margins plus high style packaging, they said.

The product is designed for high end audio upgrades, they said.
SoundShield will be located in the Mobile Solutions booth #523 at KnowledgeFest.
