Firstech, maker of Compustar and DroneMobile, has partnered with the  Elite Distributor Alliance (EDA) 12 volt distributor group to launch a new “NuStart” remote start brand.

NuStart will be sold exclusively through EDA’s distributor members.

Its remote start lineup will range from traditional, analog systems to digital, web-programmable systems. Each remote start kit will include two close-range remotes, and can be easily upgraded using any one of NuStart’s RF remote kits – all of which offer extended range and water-resistant remotes. NuStart’s digital remote start systems will also support DroneMobile smartphone control.

Firstech’s Justin Lee, said the products “are a completely different line from Compustar.”  He added, “The main purpose is now giving distributors their own brand to cultivate and to work with us on to meet the needs of their customers.”

As part of the NuStart launch, EDA and Firstech are enforcing a strict policy against online sales of NuStart in order to preserve dealers’ profitability in the remote start category.

Participating dealers will get NuStart marketing materials and hands-on training by Firstech’s technical staff. Additionally, Firstech has developed a 6-foot tall free standing product displays to merchandise the new line.

EDA is owned by its 14 distributor members. It currently has a collective buying power of $115 million, with a collective 8,200 dealer accounts.
