A new driver safety company led by industry veteran Bob Goodman announced new products under the RoadLogic brand to ship next month including a vehicle specific USB add-on CD Player.
Goodman’s new company, Advanced Vehicle Solutions serves as an aggregator, bringing reliable driver safety products to market with a 3-year warranty, he said.
Under RoadLogic, the new CD player is flashed to match a specific vehicle for a simpler installation.”When someone orders it, they let us now what vehicle it’s for and we make sure the proper software is burned into it, so it’s pretty much plug and play for the installer,” said Goodman.
As more vehicles ship without a CD player, consumers with large CD collections are looking for ways to re-add a CD player in the car, he said. Suggested retail price is $349.
Another new RoadLogic product is an OEM grade microwave blind spot detection system with variable speed sensing.
Other new products include OE fit and universal dashcam/DVRs; plug and play,vehicle-specific navigation systems; iPhone integration solutions; and cameras and monitors, including tailgate latches and 3rd brake lights.
A second line called Advantage offers cameras and mirrors at competitive prices.
A 7- inch superwide mirror with 3 video inputs has a retail price of $199 and a standard mirror with 4.3-inch monitor has a retail price in the $100 range. Cameras start at $50 suggested retail price. All include a 3-year warranty.
Another new product is a steering wheel cover that adds a touch pad sensor for controlling a phone that will read your text aloud and let you answer by voice. It also provides navigation and streams music, while keeping your hands on the wheel. Users also hear WhatsApp and Facebook messages. The JustDrive steering wheel cover was developed by Israeli-company Radiomize. You can see a video on the steering wheel cover here. Suggested retail price is $250.
