Ron Freeman

AAMP Global Chairman and former CEO Ron Freeman was named President and CEO of Instrument Sales and Service Inc. (ISS) of Portland, OR. in June.

ISS sells refurbished car radios, gauges and other mechanical parts mainly for General Motors.   If you need to replace a radio or speedometer and you want a refurbished one from a GM dealer, ISS supplies it.

ISS also sells wholesale parts to NAPA and auto parts stores.  And it fixes GM OnStar units.

The company said Freeman’s achievements at AAMP Global included leading its “global expansion to become an international leader in automotive electronics, innovation and technology… he orchestrated the company’s growth strategy, including the acquisition of seven companies. AAMP Global has 250 employees and services more than 5,000 customers…”

Freeman stated, “I am excited to join the team at ISS and very impressed with the company’s 60-year history of leadership in the automotive industry…”

As ISS CEO he will be responsible for “accelerating sales growth by introducing new product/service offerings and executing our expansion plans. This will further enhance the company’s leadership position in product line transfer management and remanufacturing solutions for Fortune 500 OEMs.”

Freeman became Chairman of AAMP in January 2015 and was replaced as CEO by current AAMP leader David Klatt.  Freeman  has also served as Chairman of the Executive Board at the Consumer Technology Association.
