Kenwood, JVC New Car Radios

KENWOOD and JVC are starting to ship new all wireless CarPlay/Android Auto decks that are also Maestro ready (for easier integration into vehicles). All three receivers are SiriusXM and Hi-Res Audio-ready and include 5-volt pre-outs.

KENWOOD’s two new models include the eXcelon Reference DMX958XR deck with the above features plus Hi-Res Audio playback over a wireless connection.  The deck has a high resolution HD capacitive screen in 6.8 inches (1280×720).  Minimum advertised price (MAP) is $849.95

The eXcelon DMX908S, offers many of the same features but with a WVGA capacitive 6.95-inch screen (800×480) and no wireless Hi-Res Audio support.  MAP is $699.95

Both models have  HD Radio,  and the ability to connect KENWOOD’s DRV-N520 dashboard camera.  They both use what KENWOOD calls audiophile grade components, which are custom-made in some cases.

JVC’s new deck is the KW-M875BW, which also offers wireless CarPlay/Android Auto and Maestro capability.  It has a 6.8-inch resistive touch screen and it uses JVC’s Dynamic GUI Gesture Touch Control and Live Wallpaper Background customization. It includes support for Wireless Hi-Res Audio and offers JVC’s K2 sound processing technology.   MAP is $629.95.

All three models also have a USB Type-C input for up to 3 amps of charging, an HDMI Type-D (mini) input, four camera inputs, and wireless mirroring for Android.
