JVC Mobile is shipping a new wired CarPlay/Android Auto deck with step up features such as Maestro compatibility (to retain factory features) at a minimum advertised price (MAP) of $449.
JVC Mobile Director of Sales Ron Trout said the company saw a gap in the market for a “moderately price receiver with step-up features like iDatalink Maestro RR compatibility.” As a result the new KW-M780BT has been air freighted to the US.
The KW-M780BT includes a redesigned 6.8” capacitive touchscreen, a new graphic user interface and a type-D HDMI input. It has three sets of 4-volt RCA pre-outs, 3 camera inputs, and it is SiriusXM ready.
The new deck also provides gesture control (the ability to adjust volume or track with the swipe of a finger), and it has a shallow mounting depth of just under three inches.
