Pioneer Low Priced All Wireless Radios
Pioneer Electronics USA is shipping this month two of the lowest priced all-wireless car radios to date from a top tier vendor.
Both the new DMH-W2700NEX (Distributor version) and DMH-W2770NEX (Limited distribution) offer both wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto as well as wired versions of both features.  They also come with Amazon Alexa, when paired with a Pioneer Vozsis app.
At a MAP of about $430, the DMH-W2700NEX is one of the most aggressively priced all-wireless decks to date. At least one second tier brand said it will re-evaluate its head unit pricing in reaction to Pioneer’s new low price.
Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto decks from other top tier brands can retail for upwards of $750.
The two new Pioneer models use 6.8-inch screens and are SiriusXM ready. You can see a video of the DMH-W2700NEX here and the DMH-W2770NEX here.

  1. Considering the extreme amount of issues we’ve had company wide with the 1770NEX and DMH342 this doesn’t excite me. I really hope they fixed the white screen and lock up issues with these new units, because we probably get back about 1/3 of the 1770s we install and have to send them out to service. Outsourcing to the lowest bidder to build these new units was a bad call I think.

    1. Alas the result of this brand no longer being in Japanese hands. From now on its a race to the bottom instigated by them and the results will be ever cheaper and cheaper products. How do you do that? manufacture using cheaper and cheaper parts, thats how, resulting in less and less quality and reliability but what do they care? Sony instigated the home audio race to the bottom back in the 90’s, now its Hong Kong owned Pioneers turn to try and train wreck our industry and join the plethora of no namers and “ start ups” diluting the industry with cheaper and cheaper rubbish to catch a crumb of the same sized pie.
