Rockford Corporation has signed a definitive agreement to be purchased by Patrick Industries, a maker of RV components and other products. Patrick Industries also recently purchased Wet Sounds and it owns the distributor The Progressive Group.
Rockford will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Patrick Industries, it said in a letter to dealers.
Rockford has had a long relationship with Patrick Industries since that company acquired Progressive Sales and R&D Distribution in 2016, said Rockford.
The notice to dealers, sent Wednesday, said Rockford’s business will continue as usual and its dealer programs, agreements, and policies remain the same. It will continue to operate with existing staff, sales and marketing teams at its facility in Tempe, AZ.
Patrick Industries, based in Elkhart, IN, is a major manufacturer of component products and distributor of building products serving the recreational vehicle, manufactured housing, kitchen cabinet, office and household furniture, fixtures and commercial furnishings, marine, and other industrial market, it said.
