ZZ-2 is shipping a $149 device that turns a factory CarPlay radio into a wireless CarPlay radio, according to the company.
The ZZAIR-CP is a small device that plugs into the USB port in a CarPlay radio and then pairs with your iPhone over Bluetooth and WiFi. Then there’s no need to plug in your iPhone to get the benefits of CarPlay.
It works any factory radio with CarPlay and with some aftermarket radios, said xxx Rich DeSclafani.
The device is available to both consumers and dealers, (although most other ZZ-2 interfaces will continue to be available only through dealers).
The ZZAIR-CT is user-installable and has a 1-year warranty. A short video may be seen here.
