Compustar new remote start kits with DroneMobile

Firstech, parent of Compustar and DroneMobile, announced two remote start transmitter kits with new close-range technology for added convenience in keyless entry.

The new kits work with Compustar PRO Series remote starters. They offer the new feature for Compustar of proximity unlocking, which automatically unlocks and disarms the vehicle when the remote is within 3 to 6 feet.  This is especially helpful when the user is carrying groceries or shopping bags.

The system works via a proximity sensor that is embedded in the transmitter antenna.  It uses a very low current draw, said Compustar.

Both kits also include the Drone X1 LTE telematics module for smartphone control over remote start from almost any location.  Customers can activate a 30-day free trial to DroneMobile for smartphone control, GPS tracking, and family sharing. The kits also contain two 2-way remotes.

The new remotes offer long range capability of up to 3 miles, for the Compustart PRO T13 and up to 2 miles for the PRO R5.

The PRO T13 is the line’s new flagship remote kit.  It has a color LCD, a water resistant case and USB charging port. On a full charge, the maximum battery life is 45 days.

The PRO R5 is a compact keyfob transmitter with one-button.  It uses LEDs to provide 2-way remote start and keyless entry confirmation.  It is also USB rechargeable and capable of receiving 2-way alarm alerts.

Firstech will begin shipping limited quantities of the PRO T13 and R5 in mid-October 2020, with a full release scheduled for early December.  For more information visit  www.firstechllc.com.

  1. Love my Viper PKE but they don’t offer it anymore and whenever I store the car/s for the winter I need to re-pair the remote in the spring… some reliable quality from Compustar would be awesome.

  2. Passive Keyless Entry kits have been around a long time. Not discounting this at all! But rather, I’d have to install a few and see how it performs before really believing in it.

    1. I’ve been using CompuStar`s EZ GO (PKE)..for over 10 years and it’s been awesome..but now even better…1 less fob and one less antenna in the vehicle…..looking forward to this.
