Solomon Daniels who led Mobile Electronics magazine for 20 years announced he left the magazine last week to pursue a new role within the 12 volt industry.

Daniels said he expects to be able to serve the industry in the future.

Mobile Electronics magazine said it will be announcing a new editor to replace Daniels in the near future.

Daniels led the magazine through the industry’s shift from compact disc to the revolutionizing impact of the iPod, iPhone and iPad.  He helped the industry through the challenge of OEM integration, the birth of advanced driver safety and the takeover of the radio’s interface by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being the editor of Mobile Electronics magazine,” said Daniels. “For the past 20 years it’s been my goal to help people in our industry, both personally and professionally, and we were able to do that. Now I’m excited to continue that journey in new ways, bringing brands and retailers together and developing new platforms that keep us all more connected more of the time.”

Daniels remains head of SDG, a media relations company.  He may be reached at [email protected]
