ZZ-2 announced a new USB plug in device that allows drivers to stream Netflix and other apps from a CarPlay radio.

Called the ZEUS, it plugs into the factory radio’s USB port and connects via WiFi to a hotspot in your cellphone or other portable or in-car hotspots. From there you can stream video from Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, social media apps and more to the CarPlay radio and control them from the radio, as well.

“It works with almost any vehicle with factory CarPlay. And you can take it from one vehicle to another.  All it needs is a hotspot,” said Rich DeSclafani.

He added, “On newer vehicles, up until now, the only way to get video into the OEM screen has required a more expensive and labor-intensive product. These generally need the installer to access the back of the radio and/or monitor. This interface also eliminates the need for an audio adapter that would have to be used with a standard video interface.”

ZEUS also allows access to YouTube TV or Sling and other services.

FEATURES:

  • No installation required
  • 100% Plug and Play
  • HD Video Quality
  • 3 Year Warranty

  1. Where can I buy one? I don’t see any links to buy. I think this has a lot of really neat features and I’d like to try it

  2. Why are we promoting something that is illegal in almost EVERY STATE? This is dangerous and irresponsible, and shops that promote and sell this are creating a risk to other drivers. IN some states they can also be held liable for any damage, accident, loss of life or property, etc for selling and/or installing this type of device.

The only cool thing is the addition of the navigation, which was likely the intended purpose, but are promoting the appeal of video-in-motion. Stupid.

  3. This is so incredibly illegal if it works while driving and in the vision of the driver. Do I think this is awesome – yes. I truly hope products like this, have a safety component.
